Metrology of ISO 17025
Metrology requirements of ISO/IEC17025:2017
For whom: Quality managers, technical managers, technical staff involved in calibrations and data evaluation
Once the first steps towards building a quality management system have been set, attention has to be focused on demonstration of technical competence, one of the key issues of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The metrological expertise on the techniques and methods used has to be revisited. Whereas internal quality control and quality assurance have to be expanded on basis of an evaluation of all potential sources of error and opportunities for trouble-shooting. Implicit requirements of the Internal Standard are with metrological traceability –to facilitate demonstration of degree of equivalence of the value of results for international acceptability-.
We will refresh with the participants the relevant requirements of the ISO/IEC17025:2017, and guide them in this course along the requirements and with examples from the practice and exercises to
- metrological traceability
- calibration
- quality of measurement standards and contents of certificates
- method validation
- evaluation of measurement uncertainty, the GUM and other approaches
- statistical tools, including control charts
- participation in interlaboratory comparisons and proficiency testing.
