Practical Aspects and QA/QC in Spectrometry

For whom: Newcomers in the use of spectrometers

We will present the participants the basic principles of nuclear spectrometry and nuclear related spectrometry, such as mass spectrometry. We will discuss with them the proper management of instruments. This includes approaches to ensure the proper operation of spectrometers, quality assurance and quality control.

The course will include both lectures and practical exercises, e.g., on the identification of potential sources of error, and on pragmatic quality assurance and quality control approaches to be implemented.
