Our team
Peter Bode, PhD, is founder and director of NUQAM. He is a retired Associate Professor Nuclear Science & Technology of the Delft University of Technology. He has a PhD of the Delft University of Technology on nuclear analytical science. His research interests were directed to nuclear research reactor utilization, trace element measurements and quality assurance. He brought his own laboratory to accreditation in 1992, being the first of its kind in the world.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regularly invites him as an expert for research reactor utilization, strategic planning, neutron activation analysis and quality management. He reviewed more than 30 strategic plans of research reactors, and several of national nuclear institutions. Dr. Bode audited quality management systems following ISO/IEC17025 in 17 countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia, Latin America and Africa. He has been technical assessor for accreditation bodies in Netherlands, Belgium, United Arab Emirates and Argentina. Peter provided over 50 training courses worldwide on quality management implementation.
He is visiting professor at the Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil for the postgraduate program ‘Metrologia’ , member of the Inorganic Analytical Working Group of the BIPM/CCQM and associate member of the Analytical Chemistry Division Committee V of IUPAC. Co-recipient in 2002 of the Brazilian Prêmio de Excelência em Metrologia. Dr. Bode is recipient of the George Hevesy Medal Award 2011 and the Ioannes Marcus Marci Medal Award 2018.
Rola Bou Khozam, PhD, is a quality manager at the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission. She is certified as IRCA Lead Auditor for ISO standards 9001, 14001 and 18001, and qualiied as a tutot for ISO standards 17025 & 17020. She acted as lecturer and trainer in more than 40 International training course on quality management implementation following ISO/IEC 17025 in various countries, several of them in the Middle East including Dubai, Oman and many others African as well Asian countries, as also she supports the IAEA as a consultant n coaching laboratories in implementing (integrated) quality management systems.
Dr. Bou Khozam has her PhD in chemistry from the University of Pau et Pays de l'Adour- France. She also obtained a Diploma in Political and Administrative Sciences and DESS Diplome d’Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées on Management of Hospital and Health care institutes, both from the Lebanese University. At the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission, she carries out research on food contaminants by multi-elemental study by ICP/MS, Isotope ratio MS, Gas and Ion chromatography and AAS techniques and food traceability by isotope ratio technique for tracing the geographical origin and the authenticity of products. She is member of the "Lebanese Metrology Committee", and the "Committee for higher academic accreditation - Lebanese University", she acts also as Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Lebanese University and Saint Joseph University.
